Not Another Drinking Game: Our New Party Game Is Out on Android

You know how it goes. Someone suggests a drinking game, and it is one of the same three everybody has played a hundred times. We got tired of that, so we made a new one. Not Another Drinking Game is out now on Android.

What it is

It is a pass-the-phone party game for 2 to 12 players. You add everyone’s names, pick a mode and start. Every card names who is up and tells them what to do. Do it or sip. That is the whole rulebook.

Six modes, six different nights

• Warm Up: free, easy icebreakers that get the group talking.
• House Party: dares, votes and curses for the whole group.
• Chaos: bigger penalties for a louder room.
• After Dark: flirty and personal cards for later in the night.
• Couples: a two-player game with truths and dares for date night.
• Kings Circle: the classic Kings card game (King’s Cup, Ring of Fire) without a physical deck.

Four mini games

Between cards, the app can drop you into a quick mini game: Hot Potato (name something and pass the phone before it blows), Tap Duel (two players, one phone, fastest thumb wins), Higher or Lower (the card classic) and Same Page, a couples game about whether you two think alike.

The small things that make it different

• Pace: set every game to Chill, Party or Wild depending on the crowd.
• The Tab: put a drink on the Tab to skip a sip now. It grows while you wait, and Last Call settles it.
• Water rounds: pacing is part of the game.
• Curses: effects that last a few cards, like having to wink before every sentence.
• Drinking buddies: link two players, and when one sips, the other sips too.
• Player pages: every player gets a page with sips taken, dares done, cards dodged and how often they were the top drinker.

Made for 26 languages

The app is available in 26 languages. The cards are adapted for each language instead of being translated word for word, so the jokes still land.

What is free and what is Premium

The download is free. Warm Up (25 cards per game) and Hot Potato are free to play. Premium unlocks every mode and mini game, with a weekly or yearly subscription that starts with a 3-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
